Jungle-Jangle was published in New York in 1909; it is a parody of Theodore Roosevelt's big game persona, in illustrated quatrains, from the point of view of the African big animals, a lion, an ape, a rhinoceros. TR's arrival in Africa was also the subject of one of the earliest cartoons.
