The Pentatette, the Limerick Special Interest Group periodical, now has a web home page with great graphics, a list of limerick books in print you can purchase through Amazon.com, introductory material and, of course, limericks. Stalky & Co. by Rudyard Kipling contains one of the first references to the five-line verse. The HTML text at Bibliomania is searchable. Limericks are always fashionable, perhaps the last form of really popular poetry, there are a number of web sites devoted to them plus a gopher limerick collection, but no Lear limericks are to be found in them:
