Rose before 8. Grey ― but not so cold a day.
No steamer. Sent a letter to Clowes, saying I would wait here till the 12th ― if he wrote to me so to do. Painted pretty continually all day at a bit of Viró Corfû. ― At 5 called on Lady Reid, & heard a good deal of poor Mrs. Cortazzi’s last hours. All of which affects me more than I know at present. ― Then I walked alone ½ way to 1 gun ― & returned by dark at 6½. ―
Dined alone. No steamer yet.
Unwell all night more or less ― rain.
