Rose at 7½. After breakfast to Taylor’s ― & to Aust.1 Lloyds. ― Packed & arranged. Collinson’s, ― & then Lady Y. Turville, Miss [Mary], Mackenzie Boyd. Greek lesson. ― Then Sir J.Y. ― Curcumely ― Cook ― & Lllewlyn [sic] ― Campbell & others. Then I took the paintings to Mrs. Gage ― seeing Mrs. Thornton & Lady Valsamaki. Returning ― the paintings were packed ― & Sir J.R. called ― & I walked with him. G.F.B. has 100£ increase of salary. I must talk of F.L.’s plans. ― At 6½ ― (found a letter from C.F.) dined at Dr. Henderson’s ― Mrs. & Miss Saunders there & F.L. pleasant enough: ― Very lovely day.
