Drew 10£ from Drummond & cashed W. Hornby’s cheque for £10.

Rose at 7 & penned till breakfast. ― Ann went to the Coombes. ― I fell to sorting Palestine memento ― for some 70 friends ― a task which took me till 2½ ― when Ann returned. ― Then I went to the Beadons, & saw Mrs. B. & Baby: ― then to Sir J. Call’s, & Drummond’s ― & to see Hunt’s picture. How well one remembers the making of that one! ― the little room! The Ivy’d door ― the moonlight & lantern!!! just 6 years ago now. Millais’ picture cannot be compared with it. (Royalist.) ― I saw J. Godley ― who told me of a large fig tree at Higgins’s (Reading) ― & I half resolve to go there. Call at Foord’s ― & later, meet Mr. Morier, ― tant soit peu1 wearisome. ― Home: ― & made arrangements for going somewhere on Monday. ― Note from Daddy Hunt. ― Ann & I dined at 6½ & I penned out to 9½.

How pleased the Beadons were with the Jerusalem tokens.
