Rose early. Lovely day all through. ― Poor dear Ann went at 9. I, with Hansen, painting &c. ― to Hunt’s, at 10. ― Half the day went in “settling.” ― the east in beginning, & painting in,  in blue ― the Masada. We dined at 6½ ― & penning out, music, & bed at 10. ― Comet, with a star in the tail.
