Rose early ― & wrote journal. Breakfast. ― Afterwards, Reynolds came ― which is piuttosto1 a bore. Hunt’s Nazareth ― Painted at the Masada, but quite badly. Unhinged ― unhooked, unhappy ― un-everything. Letter from C.F. ― with whom I am to dine. ― At 5 walked to Seymour St. ― & at 7 to St. James’s Place. Then to Blue Port where C.F. & I dined. ― Evening as pleasant as might be ― with 2 friends whose lives & thoughts are different. In spite of effort, I grew more & more isolated.
