Lovely weather again ― all day ― but colder.

Began, & worked  from 10 to 4 at a drawing of Petra for Husey Hunt ― & nearly finished it: ― no bad lot of work, if I could but have pleased myself. At 5 ― walked to Shepheard’s Bush & Notting Hill with Daddy H. ― Dinner with him alone. ― “Penning out” till 8 ― & then Dr. Rimbault came, who put down ― “O let the solid ground” ― & “Home they brought her warrior dead.” After that ― tea, & penning out till 12. ― I am disturbed at going away tomorrow, ― leaving all this painting so little advanced, & in such an uncertain state.
