Walked to the lodge with T.G.B. ― Grenfell, A. Seymour, Lord Effingham & Portal ― & back. Screwed up box  & drawings. Hasty lunch. Goodbye. Kinder & nicer people saw I never. Driven in chaise to Micheldever. Slow train ― 1.45 to Waterloo ― by 5. Cab to Seymour St.. Letters from Clowes & J. Harford. ― To Tor Villa. ― Dinner with Hunt, who went out. I wrote letters to Ann, C.F., & others. Too sleepy & tired to draw.
