Windy & very cold & dark. Bad cold coming on. Sat in Library with W.H. & C.F. Lunch. ― Thought I should be better by walking ― so Lady W., C.F., W.B. & Miss Murray & I walked to Teddington & back. ― I smell of Castor oil. ― Bitter cold wind. Cold much worse. Sang a good deal to Lady W. ― Lay down. Bad headache. Dressed & tried to sit out dinner but failed. ― Came to bed. Hot water & gruel. C.F. ―
