Noise all night. ― Half I still incline to borrow from Blencowe, & A. Seymour, & Mrs. Empson, & go to Palestine. Worked at Lady W.’s Jerusalem ― & at Lord C.’s ― but my legs are baddish. No one came but Gibbs, but he has given me a commission from £80 to £100 ― for a view from the Cervara quarries: ― very kindly & nicely. ― Letter from S.W.C. at Naples. At 3 ― bought some casts of goats ― & walked with Williams till 6. ― Called at the Marshalls ―. Dined at home.
Somehow it is a stupefied life.
