Very lovely day.
Rose late ― 7 ― & sleepy ―: one never sleeps enough here.
Being Festa, no Greek lesson. ― Worked at Bethlehem (Hunt’s,) & later at Hunt’s Jerusalem ― Sandars & Lady Veigy came ― agreeable enough. ― Worked ― (sleeping at times ―) till 5. Called on Mrs. Storey. At 7 to the Marshalls ― only A. de V. ― & Charmside there. All odd & strange & sapid. A. de V. & C. went at 9 ― I sang till 10. I am always melancholy after coming from the Marshalls.
