Ever very lovely. ― But I cannot rise early now.
So heavy dreadful, that it is a gt. effort to rise by 8. Then comes Giorgio’s clear & well kept accounts ― & his lesson: ― then my Greek lesson.
I worked little ― at B. Hunt’s Jerusalem.
But at 12 the Macleans & [Macdolans] came ― very nice people: ― & Storey & Mr. Clark. ―
After which, worked again till 5. Then walked with P. Williams, who is a very good true man. Our talk of the P. of W. & the intrigues of many ― would be curious if published. Returned at 7: & dined alone.
Wrote Greek ― at 10, sleepy. ―
