Very fine & bright, but immensely cold. Rose at 6!!!

Gk. Lesson ― 7 to 8. Set to work on the 2 unfinished Janina pictures. 2 or 3 sets of people came. ― At 4 ― Stansfeld, with whom I went in a Carriage to the 3rd or 4th mile on the Frascati road, & then we 2 walked across to Tor di Schiavi & met the carriage at P. Maggiore driving home by 6½.

The Campagna was most lovely.
