Rose at 6. Still the same gray fog all day. ― & coldish. Yet no rain ― Greek lesson to 8. ― After breakfast & G.’s lesson ― worked at the drawing for Photographic trial till 12. Then went to Macbean’s, & drew out 100£ from Drummonds ―: ― more rumours of war. ―
Returned & finished the drawing, & took it to Reigar, to be photographed. Called on the Sandbachs & drove with them to beyond Tor di Schiavi. ― They are nice people. Returned by 5 ― called on Mrs. Storey ― & on the Knights where I staid till near 7. Dined alone & wrote Greek.
