Rose at 6½. Gk lesson ― till 8½. Then G.’s accounts & lessons. ― Mr. Gubbins writes appointing 10 ― for himself & the Duchess ― but owing to some mistake, he & Miss Hume came , but no Duchessa. ― Their visit was mainly tiresome.
Worked ― better than usual at T.G.B.’s Parnassus. ―
G. is unwell. ― At 5, Drummond came, with Macann! ― All nice fellow, whom first I knew in the Alexdria Jaffan boat. ― We 3 walked to the Baths of Caracalla & saw the new[-]found Venus, which seems to me very beautiful. ― Returned to dine alone.
George is not at all well.
