Slept peaceably. ― Up at 6. Gk ― 7 to 8. ― The same heavy dark clouds & rain. ― At 9 went with Stansfeld to P. Williams & poor Coleman ― where life must indeed indeed [sic] be sad: ― yet not sad either. Came home, & worked at outlines for Mr. Potter’s, & Mr. Edwards’ pictures. Drummond came & staid an hour. ― Later William Gibbs came with a friend. ―
At 5½ walked in the Borghese with D. ―
Dined alone. Macarone ― Quails ― & peas. ―
