Rose at 5½ or 6 ― fine again, but windy. Wrote.
Mr. Evans went. ― Changed room. ―
Writing &c. Letters from C.F. C.M.C. ― Lady Young, & Mrs. Empson.
Walked with A.T. & alone to Aston Down. ― That clear down, with its sheep & furze, and the pale Faringford Cliffs beyond is lovely.
AT doddled about a little, but has “hay fever” & cold. ― I am less able now than before to combine with him at times ― he is so odd. ―
Dinner. Some singing, which, owing to the bad piano, is a misery to me.
