Up pretty early ― writing ― & after breakfast wrote letters at no end of a pace. ― Perfectly lovely weather, & this room is delightful now.
Wrote till 1 ― 1:30 ― dinner: one Assheton also. ― Read & slept till 4.30 then walked with C.M.C. over Milton Hill to Wookey Hole & to Wookey. Mr. Stewart there Vicar & family. Very nice simple people. Tea ― & music. [gr.]. ――
