News Papers concerning Italy not satisfactory as yet. ―

Wrote a good deal of Greek, eyes being bad.

Later began work, & worked a little at the large Corfu, & then at the theatre till 6. A slow & lonely walk ― (it was fine after 12 ―) by the Martello towers. Dined at 7½ & wrote some journals, always very disagreeable work to me.

How I wish good Giorgio were here.
