M. PARKYNS

Wrote to
S.W.C.

Immense fog ― too thick for November.

Passed the morning in playing singing dawdling &c. Lunch.

Mrs. M. wrote me a note for Miss Pigot. ―

I made out a list for 70 Bassae subscribers.

At 2 or 3 came away from Annesley ― having made one of the “newest” & pleasantest visits. ― They sent me in a “break” ― well wrapped up ―: fog thick & cold.

Reached Woodborough before 4. ― “Emma” Parkyns scarcely changed to sight ― yet with 4 girls!!!! ― 2 eldest darling little critters who made me laugh. But poor Mrs. M.P. is become sadly deaf. ― Mansfield P. nice & hearty: ― I always liked him. ― We sate & talked. ―

At dinner, 2 large Miss Williamses ― A Rev. Mr. & Miss CobdenDr. & Mrs. Storer, & 2 Miss Miles ― they of [Wooky]. All seem to like Carry Franklin & to speak well of her. ―

Sang a great deal. But afterwards Asthma very bad: sate up with M.P.
