Damp gray day ― a little rain, sometimes fine ― not cold. Rose at 7½. Worked a good but off & on at the Philae & Constantinople views. Sent letters to C.F. & Foord. ― Campbell called. ― At 5 walked the middle round. Dined alone. Read ― Finlay, & wrote Greek. Ferendrios gave me a lesson. ―― (1)
