Thursday, 2 June 1859
Rose at 5½. Very wet, but it cleared at 8 ― & became misty fine. Wrote many letters, & some of the April 1857 Journal all the morning till lunch, & then till 2½ again. ― Read & dawdled till 4. ― Poi,1 ― walked alone in the woods, & partly in Up-Park: ah! those trees! ―
Dinner, ― & singing afterwards. ―
