Very lovely day.
Left Wellow in the carriage at 9¼ ― & was at Romsey by 9¾. ― How beautiful are the dark green trees.
Rail to Salisbury by 11 ― where I walked about & in the Cathedral till 1:40. Then Rail to Westbury & then to Witham. Always the clear beautiful sky & fields & trees a delight. ――
Then Bus to Wells ― & dined with C.M.C. very pleasantly.
Many letters.
