Letter from
Ann
Did not sleep all night. Greek ― & journals ― 5 to 8. ― Worked dividedly. Campagna, Corfu, Petra: & began a new [drawing] of Fairbairn’s pictures.
Later, letter from C.F. who is coming.
I ordered dinner, & went to meet him at the station, but he wasn’t there: nor at the other. ― Immensely disgusted & dined alone: ― but, (having missed the train,) he appeared at 9.50. Tea & talk: ― how very little changed is he from the days of 1844. Lovely weather.
