Wrote to
Mrs. Hunt
Ann
F.L.
Giorgio

The early part of the day ― ever bright & warm & lovely ― I wrote letters. That I wrote to Giorgio seems to me now silly as I look back even in this book, to his unchanging fidelity to me: ― not so much for a long time, as these many circumstances.

No letters came to day.

I worked from 12 to 4 ― at finishing the Corfu ― & also at the Petra Theatre.

At 5 walked to Hastings ― to Mrs. G.S. ― & then Cockerells, with whom I walked back partly ― for I could not stay tea with them. Old Mr. Cockerell is placidly fading: ― somehow he wants the dignity of age. Mrs. C. is always pleasant, ― & often reminds me of Lady Hornby. ―

Dined at 7½. ―
