If possible lovelier nor yesterday.

Late ― worked at the large Petra all day.
No words, & no painting can give an idea of the perfect loveliness of this day, & sea=view.
At 4 came a letter from T. Fairbairn about the Petra picture ― elating, possibly rightly.
At 5½ walked towards Hastings, & coming back, fell in with Daddy & Bob M. on their way to me. ―
Our dinner was not over luminous ― as to food, ― but merry. Afterwards ― much talk on various matters: then H.H. fell asleep in the moonlight calm ― open balcony, ― & M. & I [musialled]. ―
At 11 I walked to Hastings with them ― & back here by 12.
