At 10 Dickenson took away the Petra ― (& first to Mrs. W. Beadons.)
At 11 came to Euston St.n
Alone in carriage: read Sophocles ― & slept: but the day was dreadful cold & damp.
Rugby at 2. Barrow by 3.45. S.W.C. there ― always the same, kind & sterling. ― The drive was dreadful ― & I was very much chilled. But his warm home restored me somewhat. & I passed a delightful evening ― tho’ very unwell. ―
